Family Based Visas **

Petitions for relatives (or future relatives such as a fiancé(e) or a prospective adopted child) to immigrate to the United States


IR (Immediate Relative) - CR (Conditional Residency) Not on priority preference waiting list. 

  • the spouse of a U.S. citizen - (CR - is conditional residence for those married less than two years.
  • the unmarried child under 21 years of age of a U.S. citizen 
  • the parent of a U.S. citizen (if the U.S. citizen is 21 years of age or older

FB1 - FB4 - Family Based Petitions 

I-130 Petition .......$ 1,500 (Primary Relative); $ 500 per qualifying relative.


FB1 - FB4 - Family Based Adjustment of Status .........$ 2,500 (primary relative)

Removal of Conditions - I-751 - Your status is conditional, because you must prove  that you did not get married to evade the immigration laws of the United States. ......$ 2,500

Recognition of Citizenship - Form N-600, Application for Certificate of Citizenship, is filed to obtain a Certificate of Citizenship which serves as evidence of your or your child’s U.S. citizenship..................................$ 3,000   (Adjustable based on complexity.)

Self Petition **

Asylum - Every year people come to the United States seeking protection because they have suffered persecution or fear that they will suffer persecution.   

Primary petitioner to USCIS ...........$ 3,000;   $ 500 per additional qualified relative. 

If sent to immigration court .............$ 5,000 additional.


Refugee - Under United States law, a refugee is someone who:

  • Is located outside of the United States
  • Is of special humanitarian concern to the United States
